Linderhof Palace - Brunnenkopfhäuser - Große Klammspitz |
The Klammspitze is an elegant double summit consisting of the Great ( 1924 m ) and Small Klammspitz ( 1882 m ) in the Ammergau Alps near Oberammergau in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen district . Usually only the Große Klammspitz is climbed .
summit
The summit can be reached as a mountain tour for sure-footed hikers from Linderhof Palace ( 980 m ) via the Brunnenkopfhaus ( 1602 m ). From there it first goes west on a mountain meadow path through the steep slopes of the Brunnenkopf, then ascent through the so-called winter valley to below the now massive cliffs of the two gorge peaks. From now on, surefootedness and a head for heights are required. On a steep path it goes up to the south ridge in a few turns, then following the markings up to the summit cross . In the summit area, you often come across old snow fields until early summer.
The ascent of the Kleine Klammspitze is reserved for experts.
