The clear lake is located in the municipality of Temmen-Ringenwalde in the northeast of Brandenburg in the district of Uckermark . It has a water surface of about 44 hectares and is about 1.3 kilometers long and about 500 meters wide. The Alt-Temmen part of the municipality of Temmen-Ringenwalde is located on the lake shore .

The lake belongs to the Uckermark Lake District . The deepest point is not far from the narrow point in the east. The tributary of the Düstersee flows into the southwest. There is a striking, narrow bay on the north bank.

The lake is located in the Schorfheide-Chorin Biosphere Reserve .
