The Düstersee is the second lake in the course of the Ucker and is located in the Temmen-Ringenwalde municipality in the northeast of Brandenburg in the Uckermark district . It has a water surface of about 44 hectares. The town of Alt-Temmen, part of the municipality of Temmen-Ringenwalde, is located on the lakeshore. The star-shaped lake is about one kilometer long and up to 900 meters wide.

The lake belongs to the Uckermark Lake District . The water is very indented with a 0.5 hectare island.

The Ucker reaches it from the Großer Krinertsee, a few meters to the southwest . Shortly after the outflow, it is piped for a short distance in the Alt-Temmen area. It then flows on through Mühlensee and Behrendsee to Oberuckersee .

The lake is located in the Schorfheide-Chorin Biosphere Reserve .
