Klaus-Dieter Kühnrich

Klaus-Dieter Kühnrich (born August 10, 1944 in Chemnitz ) is a German engineer and politician ( CDU ). From 1990 to 1999 he was a member of the Saxon state parliament .

Life

Klaus-Dieter Kühnrich attended elementary and middle school in Chemnitz and Karl-Marx-Stadt. He then completed vocational training with a high school diploma. From 1963 to 1968 he studied applied mechanics at the engineering-scientific faculty of the TH Karl-Marx-Stadt , which he graduated with a degree in engineering . Between 1970 and 1990 Kühnrich worked in research and development in the research center of the machine tool construction in Karl-Marx-Stadt as well as a computer scientist and calculation engineer for strength calculations in machine tool construction.

From 1972 to 1990 Kühnrich was a member of a medical train of the territorial forces of the civil defense ( disaster control ). He was also a member of the Board of Trustees from 2001 to 2005 and a member of the Association of the Institute for Mechatronics e. V. of the Technical University of Chemnitz.

Kühnrich is Protestant, married and has three children. He lives in Niederwiesa .

politics

Klaus-Dieter Kühnrich joined the CDU block party in 1981 . From 1984 to 1990 he was a member of the Karl-Marx-Stadt / West district assembly. the CDU. In addition, Kühnrich was involved in standing commissions for local utilities and environmental protection. In 1989 and 1990 he was spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group and chairman of the temporary commission for structural changes in local government. From August 1990 to 1991 he was an alderman and department head for law and security in the Chemnitz district.

In October 1990 Kühnrich was elected to the Saxon Landtag via constituency 61 (Chemnitz III), to which he belonged for two electoral terms until 1999. In the 2nd electoral term he represented constituency 15 (Chemnitz 4). In the state parliament he was active in both electoral terms in the constitutional and legal committee, in the first electoral term in the interior committee and in the committee for federal and European affairs and in the second electoral term as chairman of the European committee.
