Klaus-Peter Creter

Klaus-Peter Creter (born April 8, 1943 in Gera ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

Creter attended elementary and evening school in Gera. After reaching secondary school, he was drafted into military service. In 1967 he began his apprenticeship as an electrician, after which he took the associated master class. This was followed by distance learning to become an electrical engineer at the Hermsdorf Engineering School .

The qualified engineer worked as an electrician and was active as an electrician and department manager in the Union machine tool factory in Gera until 1989 . Thereupon he was deputy chairman of the Chamber of Crafts of the Gera district , after the reunification he became managing director of the Chamber of Crafts for East Thuringia in Gera, in 1995 its chief executive. In 2008 he was adopted into retirement.

Creter joined the GDR CDU in 1972, where he was local chairman, later deputy district chairman, and from 1989 district chairman in the city of Gera. In 1990 he was elected to the last people 's chamber , after which he was a member of the Bundestag for three months. In 1994 he became a member of the Gera City Council.

Creter is married and has three children.
