Klaus-Peter Jörns

Klaus-Peter Jörns (born April 13, 1939 in Stettin ) is a German Protestant pastor , theologian and book author.

Life dates

Klaus-Peter Jörns studied Protestant theology and sociology in Bonn and Göttingen. In 1967 the doctorate to Dr. theol. with Joachim Jeremias . From 1968 he was pastor of the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland in Gödenroth / Hunsrück. In 1978 he became professor at the Theological Seminary of the Evangelical Church in Hesse and Nassau in Herborn ; 1981 Professor of Practical Theology and 1982 Director of the Institute for the Sociology of Religion and Congregation Development at the Church University of Berlin , since 1993 in the same functions at the Evangelical Theological Faculty of the Humboldt University in Berlin. In 1999 he retired .

Klaus-Peter Jörns is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Eugen Biser Foundation .

He became known to a wider audience through his debriefings at the end of each episode of the six-part television series Death of a Student , in the conception of which he was already involved.
