Klaus Bürger (politician)

Klaus Bürger (born June 5, 1941 in Liegnitz ; † 2007 in Bremen) was a teacher and politician ( CDU ) from Bremen . He was a member of the Bremen citizenship .

biography

Family, education and work

Bürger attended grammar school and studied from 1961 to 1964 at the University of Education in Bremen . After passing the second state examination for teaching, he became a civil servant . He worked as a teacher and lecturer in Bremen. From 1977 he was head of the orientation stage at the school center in Helsinkistraße.

Citizen was married. There are two sons from his marriage.

politics

Bürger had been a member of the CDU in Bremen since 1970 . From 1971 to 1979 he was a member of the advisory board in Bremen- Vegesack .

From 1979 to 2003 he was a member of the Bremen citizenship for 24 years and worked in various deputations and committees of the citizenship, for example in the state deputations for science and education and the municipal deputation for education . From 1987 to 1991 he was deputy chairman and from 1991 to 1999 chairman of the media policy committee of the citizenship. He was the education policy spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group and a member and then until 2003 spokesman for the education deputation. In these functions he criticized the Bremen school system for many years . He also ran for the European elections in Germany in 1999 .
