biography

Bogenberger graduated from high school in Vilshofen in 1990 and then did his military service. In 1996 he completed a degree in civil engineering at the Technical University of Munich , which he began in 1991 . He then worked as a research assistant in the field of traffic engineering and planning at the Technical University of Hartmut Keller . In 2001 he received his doctorate on "Adaptive Fuzzy Systems for Coordinated Traffic Responsive Ramp Metering" at the Technical University of Munich with summa cum laude .

In 2002 he received the heureka sponsorship award. After that he was a speaker at BMW until 2008 . In 2006 he also graduated from the Malik Academy for Strategic Management. Between 2008 and 2011 he was managing partner of an engineering office for traffic planning and traffic technology in Hanover and Munich .

In 2012 he was appointed professor for traffic engineering at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich . Since 2018 he has headed the working committee for theoretical principles of road traffic of the Research Society for Roads and Transport (FGSV). Since January 1, 2020, he has headed the Chair of Transportation Technology at the Technical University of Munich.

Since January 2019 he has been a regular guest on the Sunday broadcast of the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation .
