Klaus Fischer (photographer)
Klaus Fischer (born April 2, 1934 in Meiningen , † 2009 in Berlin ) was a German photographer and book author.
Life
Fischer studied from 1957 to 1962 at the University of Graphic and Book Art in Leipzig with Professors Heinz Föppel and Berthold Beiler . He then worked for the GDR magazine NBI for two years until he decided to work as a freelancer. His preferred areas of work were fashion and nude photography . His photos made him particularly well-known for the popular magazine Das Magazin , which published a monthly nude photo. In addition, Fischer emerged as the author of numerous books, including advice books on photography and illustrated books about German cities. Klaus Fischer last lived in Berlin-Mahlsdorf .
His estate, which had been stored in a garage for several years, was discovered and published by a friend in 2017.
