Klaus Gotze

Eberhard Klaus Götze (* 1940 in Dresden ) is a German photographer , photo designer and book illustrator .

Life

From 1956 to 1959, Klaus Götze trained as a reproduction photographer for offset printing . From 1961 to 1966, he studied at the University of Graphic and Book Art in Leipzig , Department of Photography with Heinz Föppel . From 1967 to 2002 Götze worked as a freelance photographer and photo designer. Since 1967 he was a member of the Association of Visual Artists of the GDR (VBK-DDR), from 1990 a member of the Association of German Graphic Designers (BDG). During the GDR era, he was mainly employed as a photographer for export advertising in the capital goods industry (large kitchen equipment, structural steel construction, agricultural machinery) as well as with color photographs for GDR television, calendars and picture portfolios.

In 1982 he took part in the IX. Part of the art exhibition of the GDR in Dresden, 1974 and 1985 in the Dresden district art exhibition .

He became famous for his fables , translated into several languages , which he published together with Hannelore Wegener at Karl Nitzsche Verlag . This title was followed by a number of other fairy tale books (with employment inserts). Together with Hannelore Wegener he also wrote handicraft books.
