Klaus Gohrbandt

Klaus Gohrbandt (born April 19, 1934 in Rügenwalde ) is a German micropalaeontologist .

Gohrbandt was in 1960 at the University of Vienna Dr. phil. PhD. From 1957 he worked for oil drilling companies as a micropalaeontologist. Gohrbandt wrote many first descriptions of foraminifera .

honors and awards

The newly discovered foraminifera species Hantkenia gohrbandti was named after Gohrbandt in 2011 .
