Klaus Handler (born January 1, 1979 in Mödling , Lower Austria ) is an Austrian politician . Since 2015 he has been a member of the Vienna State Parliament and a member of the Vienna City Council . Until December 2019 he was a member of the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ), in December 2019 he co-founded the Alliance for Austria (DAÖ). In May 2020 the party was renamed Team HC Strache - Allianz für Österreich .

Life

education and profession

After elementary and secondary school in Wiesmath, Klaus Handler attended the first year of the higher technical federal teaching and research institute Wiener Neustadt . In 1994 he started training as a telecommunications fitter at Telekom Austria , which he completed in 1997. In 1998 he passed the test to become a communications technician and in 1999 the test to become a communications technician. In 2004 the proficiency test for hospitality took place and in 2008 the proficiency test for temporary workers.

From 1997 to 2004 he was employed by Mobilkom Austria , tele.ring and Hutchison 3G Austria . From 2002 to 2014 he was a partner of Byting Handler OEG and from 2009 to 2014 managing director and partner of daisco GmbH. He has been the managing director and partner of byting GmbH since 2014.

politics

From 2010 to 2015, Handler was a FPÖ district councilor in the district representation in Vienna- Simmering , where he was also a member of the district management until December 2019. Since 2010 he has been a committee member of the professional group of commercial service providers in the Vienna Chamber of Commerce, he is also a member of the specialist conference for trade and crafts and a committee member of the professional group of temporary workers. From March 2017 to December 2019 he was Vice President of the Freedom Economy FPÖ pro Mittelstand Vienna .

On November 24, 2015, at the beginning of the 20th electoral term, he was sworn in as a member of the Vienna State Parliament and a member of the Vienna City Council . Until December 2019 he belonged to the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ) and was a member of the federal party leadership and the regional party leadership of the FPÖ Vienna.

In December 2019 he resigned from the Vienna Party and the City Hall Club together with Karl Baron and Dietrich Kops . With Die Allianz für Österreich (DAÖ) they founded their own club. Klaus Handler took over the position of finance officer. In the state and municipal council elections in Vienna in 2020 , he is running for fifth place on the list.
