Klaus Kribben (born October 21, 1937 in Cologne ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

From 1985 to 1988 and from 1991 to 1992 he was chairman of the CDU parliamentary group in the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament.

Life and work

After graduating from high school in Lingen , Kribben did his military service and then completed a law degree in Munich, which he completed with the first state examination in law. During his student days he became a member of the Catholic student association KDSt.V. Trifels Munich. After his legal clerkship , he also passed the second state examination and then worked in various companies. From 1969 to 2003 he was managing director of the Association of the South Holstein Economy

From 1975 to 1996 Kribben was a member of the state parliament of Schleswig-Holstein . There he was deputy chairman from 1977 to 1979 and chairman of the economic committee from 1979 to 1987 and from 1988 to 1991. From 1979 he was also a member of the board of the CDU parliamentary group and was initially deputy chairman of the parliamentary group from 1983 to 1985. After the previous parliamentary group leader Heiko Hoffmann had taken over the office of Schleswig-Holstein Minister of Justice, Kribben was elected as his successor on December 16, 1985. After the state elections in 1988, Kribben had to hand over the chairmanship of the parliamentary group back to Heiko Hoffmann, who had run as the top candidate for the CDU. After Hoffmann had given up his office in February 1991, Kribben was again elected on February 7, 1991 as his successor as parliamentary group leader. So he was the opposition leader in the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament until the end of the electoral term in May 1992 .

Klaus Kribben entered the state parliament in 1988 and 1992 via the state list and before that as a directly elected member of the Reinbek constituency .

Public offices

Kribben was State Secretary in the Ministry of Economics and Transport of the State of Schleswig-Holstein from September 22 to October 14, 1982 and from October 14, 1982 to October 2, 1987 Parliamentary representative of the Minister of Economics and Transport.
