Klaus Lukas

Klaus Lukas (born November 1, 1938 in Klagenfurt ) is an Austrian lawyer , author and former politician ( FPÖ ). He was a member of the European Parliament from 1996 to 1999 .

Life

Klaus Lukas began after graduation in 1956 to study law and political science at the University of Vienna , which he graduated in 1960 with the promotion of Dr. iur. from. After completing his studies, he worked in the field of marketing and advertising, and in 1961 he started in the Federal Chamber of Commerce in the department for international customs policy and European integration. From 1963 to 1987 he was Austrian trade delegate in Beirut , Istanbul , Cairo , Luanda , Montreal and Paris , where he was also a member of the International Court of Arbitration. From 1987 to 1995 he was General Director of Österreich Werbung , from 1990 to 1992 also President of the European Tourism Commission (ETC). At the University of Innsbruck he worked as a lecturer for future trends in tourism and leisure behavior. From January 1996 to July 1999 he was a member of the 4th European Parliament for the FPÖ .
