Nikolaus "Klaus" Mangold (born January 15, 1950 in Bad Tölz ) is a former German ice hockey player . He was active as a striker for the Mannheim ERC , among others .

career

Mangold was in the 1973/74 season and in the 1975/76 season with the Berliner SC under coach Xaver Unsinn German ice hockey champion . After moving to Mannheim , Mangold rose to the ice hockey Bundesliga with the Mannheim ERC before the 1978/79 season . In the 1979/80 season he was team captain with this team under coach Heinz Weisenbach German champions . In the championship season he scored eight goals in 44 games. Mangold moved to EHC 70 Munich after the season before joining TEV Miesbach .

Mangold played 14 games for the German national ice hockey team and took part in the 1976 ice hockey world championship .
