Klaus Pagh

Klaus Pagh (born July 29, 1935 in Denmark - † December 8, 2020 ) was a Danish actor , director and film producer . He starred in 40 films since 1956 and was also active as a stage actor.

Life

In the 1950s Pagh had his first major film roles, around 1956 in the film Spring of Love . He was then referred to as the Danish James Dean . Pagh was seen in all five Sven Methling soldiers chamberat movies , which were released from 1958 to 1962. Three of the war comedies were also shown in Germany.

In the 1960s he worked at theaters in Odense and Aalborg . In 1971 he went to Copenhagen , where he worked for several theaters as manager and artistic director until 1987.

He was married to the actress Sonja Oppenhagen . Their daughter Anna Oppenhagen Pagh is also an actress.

He hit the headlines of the tabloids when he married a Thai woman 44 years his junior in 2007. The Danish hip hop group Suspekt released a single in 2011 called Klaus Pagh . The band calls Pagh a folk hero, but the song isn't directly about him. The name Klaus Pagh is representative of a womanizer like Hugh Hefner and Serge Gainsbourg .
