Klaus Prüsse (born March 22, 1939 in Prenzlau ) is a former German handball goalkeeper .

Athletic career

Prüsse began his active career at Einheit Wismar. In 1958 he moved to SC Empor Rostock , where he stayed until the end of his career. He celebrated his greatest successes in field handball .

Klaus Prüsse completed 30 international matches for the GDR national team .

His successes include winning the men's field handball world championship in 1963 and the vice world championships in field handball in 1966 and in indoor handball in 1970 with the GDR national team , winning the GDR championship title in 1968 and 1973 and participating in the 1972 championship final with the SC Empor Rostock.

At HC Empor Rostock he works as an organization manager (status: 2011).

family

Prüsse is married to the Norwegian Laila and has two daughters (Nina and Lena) and three granddaughters. The former high school teacher at the sports high school in Rostock is retired.
