Klaus Raschzok

Klaus Raschzok (born April 3, 1954 in Nuremberg ) has been Professor of Practical Theology at the Augustana University in Neuendettelsau since 2003 .

Raschzok studied Protestant theology , Christian archeology and art history at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg from 1973 to 1979 . From 1981 to 1984 he was a research assistant to Richard Riess (Chair of Practical Theology at the Augustana University). In 1984 he received his doctorate from the University of Erlangen, followed by his habilitation in practical theology in 1991. From 1997 to 2003 he held the chair for practical theology at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena .

Raschzok was vicar in Erlangen from 1979 to 1981 , pastor in Zusmarshausen near Augsburg from 1984 to 1991 , and dean in Nördlingen from 1991 to 1997 .

From 2006 to 2008 Raschzok was the rector of the Augustana University. He is the editor of the magazine Kirche + Kunst and co-editor of the magazines Annunciation and Research and Liturgy and Culture .
