Klaus Reichert (born June 29, 1963 in Frankfurt-Höchst ) is a German writer, journalist and artist.

Life

After graduating from high school in 1982, Klaus Reichert, who grew up in a butcher's shop, did an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk in Frankfurt am Main. He then studied journalism, psychology and politics at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz for a few semesters .

In 1985 he became a freelancer at Hessischer Rundfunk and presented Dinos Kinderradio on hr2 .

He worked as a freelance presenter and editor for the pop wave hr3 until 2007 . Since 2008 he has moderated the midday magazine 12–15 on hr1 . He presented the Bundesliga show hr1-Arena from 2008 to 2015. Since 2015 he can be heard regularly on Sundays in hr1-Talk. In 1988 he was awarded the ARD Kurt Magnus Prize.

In 1991, Klaus Reichert founded Boom Medienproduktions- und Verlags GmbH and made music and television productions for industry and the media. From 1996 to 1998 he was a board member of BOOMedia AG. In 1998, Klaus Reichert founded Reichert Consultants GmbH, which is active in the field of public relations and corporate communication.

As an author, he developed new broadcast formats for various ARD broadcasters and scripts for the ZDF / KiKa production TKKG - The Detective Club . The episode he wrote The Horse Ripper was nominated for participation in the German Children's Media Festival Goldener Spatz .

In July 2020 Klaus Reichert published the book meat I do not sausage published by Harper Collins . The book is subtitled: About the appreciation of our food and my father's love for his job. Klaus Reichert tells the story of his family, the "Haxen Reicherts" in Frankfurt-Höchst. He calls for more appreciation for the sausage and respect for the animals that have to lose their lives for it.

Klaus Reichert is the host of two podcasts. You can hear him together with his brother in the podcast Die-Welt-von-Behind-the-Meat Counter , which gives answers to frequently asked questions about meat, sausage, slaughter and animal welfare. With the undertaker David Roth from the funeral home Pütz-Roth in Bergisch Gladbach, he produces the podcast Talk about Death .

Klaus Reichert is one of the founders of the Gotensieben artist group , which presented its large-format works in the Kunsthalle Ludwig in Frankfurt in August 2015. After the work group SONS , the artist group showed pictures from the work group SOULS FOR SALE in the Kunsthalle Ludwig in Frankfurt. Two pictures from this group of works were shown in November 2016 as part of the international exhibition TRACES in the Abbaye du Ronceray in Angers, France. In 2016, the Gotensieben artist group realized the Im-Letzt-Shirt art project for the Pütz-Roth funeral home . In October 2018, the Gotensieben artist group organized the exhibition Metzgerei Seele und Söhne in the Kunsthalle Ludwig in cooperation with the butcher's guild Frankfurt Darmstadt Offenbach. Pictures from the group of works SOULS FOR SALE by the artist group and historical works from the butchers' guild were shown. In September 2018, the Gotensieben artist group took part in the group exhibition HOP / e D'un monde à l'autre in Angers with two pictures from their group of works KI .
