Klaus Rittland (born March 18, 1864 in Dessau , † December 5, 1920 in Berlin ) was the pseudonym of the German writer Elisabeth Heinroth, b. Beef .

Elisabeth Heinroth was the daughter of the assessor Albrecht Rindfleisch and the niece of the physician and pathologist Georg Eduard von Rindfleisch . She lived with her first husband, Kommerzienrat Karl Bosch, in Egypt for seven years, from where she got to know the Orient and southern Europe on numerous trips. The marriage resulted in two sons. After returning to Szczecin, the couple divorced. Probably due to financial necessity, Elisabeth Heinroth wrote her first book about her experiences in Egypt: "Under palm trees. A novel from modern Egypt". This was followed by stays in Weimar and Göttingen, where she met the regional court president Wilhelm Heinroth , whom she married two years later. In 1905 the couple moved to Celle, where Heinroth worked as President of the Higher Regional Court. In 1909, Heinroth was appointed President of the Berlin Court of Appeal and moved to Berlin. Here Elisabeth Heinroth took part in the city's social life and intensified her literary activities. Until her death in 1920 she published a total of 17 books, mostly social criticism entertainment novels, almost all the Dresden publisher Carl Reissner and exclusively under the Pseudandronym Klaus Ritt country appeared.

Her most successful works include the novels "Auf neue Wegen", "Frau Irmgard's disappointments" and "Frühlingsgewitter".
