politics

Ohler joined the SPD in 1971 and was mainly active with the Young Socialists until 1976 . Literary career

From the 1980s onwards, Ohler drew attention to himself with literary works. Some of his topics come from the professional environment, whereby he also includes social aspects such as migration problems or juvenile delinquency . His second field of activity is his home region, whose history and dialect he deals with. From 1989 to 1998 he was managing director of the Palatinate Literary Association . Since 1993 Ohler has been spokesman for the jury of the Sickinger dialect poet contest together with Michael Dillinger . Along with Dillinger, he is also the owner of Echo Verlag in Zweibrücken.
