Klaus Schüttler-Janikulla (born June 14, 1927 in Bachra near Rastenberg ; † April 16, 2009 in Berlin ) was a prominent German school psychologist from Berlin.

Live and act

Schüttler-Janikulla successfully completed both a degree in psychology and a teaching degree . He initially worked as a teacher and then became director of school psychology in Berlin-Kreuzberg . Up to 2005, the double qualification was a prerequisite for the civil service in this West Berlin field of work of the school administration (branch offices). In the period after 1957 and 1961, one school psychologist was appointed per district in West Berlin, each supported by a secretary. One of the interns supported by Schüttler in 1972 was Manfred Günther , who returned to Kreuzberg from 2007 to 2013. Even Ali Ucar worked here for many years until 2009. 2015 the technical service has been transformed into a Special Educational School Psychology Regional Center in the inclusion tasks in Berlin SO 36 . Schüttler's better-known Berlin colleagues included the later educational scientist Erich Perlwitz and Rolf Hensel from Tempelhof .

Schüttler himself was known for his benevolent, non-directive style of leadership and for his numerous practical publications. He was particularly active in the field of pre-school education, developed workbooks and was a prominent early German sponsor of the Head Start idea.
