Klaus Scheer (born October 4, 1950 in Siegen ) is a former German soccer player and today's coach .
Player career
society
Born in Siegen (parent club BC Eintracht Siegen), he played for Sportfreunde Siegen and between 1969 and 1975 for FC Schalke 04 (165 games / 38 goals). Klaus Scheer celebrated his greatest successes in 1972: runner-up and German cup winner . He contributed the 2-0 to the record result of 5-0 in the final against 1. FC Kaiserslautern . Klaus Scheer experienced his personal highlight on the evening of September 1, 1971: On this match day he became the “hero of the evening” in Schalke's 6-2 (4-0) home win over 1. FC Köln : Scheer shot five of the six Schalke goals, including all four up to the Schalke break lead. In the great Bundesliga scandal of 1971, which led to the decline of the Schalke team after the runner-up, he remained unaffected.
In 1975 he moved to 1. FC Kaiserslautern , where he stayed until 1977 (41 games / 0 goals) and reached the final in the 1975/76 DFB Cup , in which Hamburger SV had the upper hand with 2-0.
He played from 1977 to 1979 for Westfalia Herne in the second division with which he was 12th and fifth.
National team
Internationally, he came to work for the youth national team.
Coaching career
In the 1991/92 season Scheer was the coach of Sportfreunde Siegen , from 1994/95 to 1. FC Saarbrücken and from 1998/99 to FC Remscheid . From 1999 to 2001 he worked for Austria Lustenau in Austria , in 2002/03 he coached SV Elversberg , and in the 2003/04 season he was coach of Borussia Fulda and 1. FC Eschborn . Scheer led 1. FC Eschborn to the Regionalliga in the 2004/05 season. He had to leave this club, however, four weeks before the start of the season, and only after a few quarrels did he take over as coach at the regional league team again during the winter break and ended the series. However, he left FC Eschborn after the season, because the relegated regional league with a slimmed-down budget could no longer afford the coach and various players and officials. From 2007 to 2010 he coached SpVgg Bayreuth in the Bavarian League , with which he won the championship in 2008. However, due to the lack of economic performance, the club was refused the license for the Regionalliga Süd . Between July 1, 2010 and September 19, 2011 Scheer was the coach of the Bayern division 1. FC Schweinfurt 05 . From January to April 2012 Scheer trained again for the Bayern division SpVgg Bayreuth.
