Klaus Schneck

Klaus Schneck (born August 1, 1958 in Knesebeck , Gifhorn district) is a German politician ( SPD ). From 2005 to 2013 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

After attending school, Schneck trained to be a fusion welder and a welding teacher. He has been a member of the Volkswagen works council in Wolfsburg since 1987 and of the general works council of Volkswagen AG since 2002 . Between 1987 and 1994 he took part in the further training course "Personnel Development in Companies" at the TU Braunschweig .

Schneck has been a member of the SPD since 1982. In 2002 he became chairman of the working group for employee issues in the Gifhorn sub-district. In 2005 he moved into the Lower Saxony state parliament as a replacement for the retired Uwe Bartels . In the 2008 state elections , he entered the state parliament via the state list . In 2013 he was only on the replacement list.

Klaus Schneck then returned to VW. When he could have moved up to the state parliament for Claus Peter Poppe in 2014 , he renounced this option.

Schneck is a member of IG Metall , Diakonie Wolfsburg and the Social Association Germany . He was district chairman of the German Federation of Trade Unions and a member of the board of directors of the Deutsche BKK .

He is married and has three children.
