Klaus Stöttner (born September 11, 1963 in Schloßberg / Stephanskirchen near Rosenheim ) is a German CSU politician and has been a member of the Bavarian state parliament since 2003.

education and profession

Klaus Stöttner attended the Johann-Rieder-Realschule in Rosenheim from 1976 to 1980 and completed an apprenticeship as a banker from 1980 to 1983 after completing secondary school . From 1986 to 1989, he attended the banking academy in Frankfurt am Main for advanced training to become a banking specialist . From 1983 to 1984 he did military service with the Brannenburg Mountain Pioneer Battalion and received the Bundeswehr Medal of Honor . In 1991 he moved to the market leader Allianz, began training as a trainer and completed training as an insurance agent in the field at Bayerische Versicherungsbank AG, then a subsidiary of Allianz Versicherungs AG . Since January 2000 he has been a managing partner and equal partner of Allianz Generalvertretung Teicher & Co. OHG in Prien am Chiemsee .

In 2013 it became known that he saved the old plenary hall of the Bavarian State Parliament in 2004. He offered the old plenary hall to the House of Bavarian History (HdBG), and from 2018 it will be on view in the new museum of the (HdBG) in Regensburg .

Klaus Stöttner is Roman Catholic, married and has two children.

Klaus Stöttner has been a member of the CSU since 1981, after having been a member of the Junge Union from 1979 to 1998 . He is on the local board of the CSU Prutting, CSU district chairman since 2002 and was previously district chairman of the JU-Rosenheim from 1996 to 1999. In his home town of Prutting he was a councilor for 7 years. He has been a district councilor and district committee member in the Rosenheim district since 2003 . He is currently a member of the Committee for Economics, Regional Development, Energy, Media and Digitization.

He has been a member of the state parliament since October 6, 2003. Within the CSU state parliamentary group, he performs the task of tourism policy spokesman. He has been a member of the State Budget and Financial Affairs Committee since 2013.

He represents the constituency of Rosenheim-Ost (city of Rosenheim and the Chiemsee area, constituency of Upper Bavaria ) in the state parliament.

In 2018 he received the Bavarian Order of Merit .
