Klaus Trouet

Klaus Trouet (born March 8, 1932 in Trier ; † August 7, 2012 in Kelkheim ) was a German lawyer and co-founder of the German Foundation for Monument Protection .

Life

Klaus Trouet grew up as the son of a businessman with seven siblings in Trier. He attended the Friedrich-Wilhelm-Gymnasium there and initially studied law and political science as well as mathematics and physics . 1962 Trouet was with a thesis on the equivalence in the German patent law at the University of Göttingen to Dr. iur. utr. PhD. He worked as a specialist lawyer for copyright, trademark and patent law.

At the age of 28, Trouet entered the service of Farbwerke Hoechst AG as a lawyer , where he was director of the central secretariat of the board of Hoechst AG in the following years. In addition, Klaus Trouet was a member of the administrative board of the German Atomic Forum .

Since 1972 Trouet has been a lecturer, with appointment from February 23, 1989 honorary professor at the University of Würzburg , where he taught foreign trade law and European law .

Klaus Trouet last lived with his wife Mechthild in Kelkheim im Taunus; there are three children from the marriage. The Catholic Trouet was invested in the Papal Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem in 1978 .

Act

Klaus Trouet was, together u. a. with Gottfried Kiesow , 1985 one of the co-founders of the German Foundation for Monument Protection. After his retirement, Trouet devoted himself more to the protection of monuments and in 1994 became the deputy chairman of the foundation, of which he was still a member of the board after handing over this function in 2011. He played a key role in founding the Monument Academy , of which he was a member of the board, and the youth building huts of the German Foundation for Monument Protection, which is sponsored by the IJGD . He was deputy chairman of the supervisory board of Brandenburgische Schlösser GmbH and, until 2008, he was also a member of the presidium of the federal home and environment .
