Klaus Vygen

Klaus Vygen (born March 10, 1939 in Berlin ; † March 25, 2011 ) was a German building lawyer and university professor .

Life

Klaus Vygen studied at the universities of Munich , Bonn and Marburg law . In Marburg he became a member of the Corps Teutonia in 1959 . He was at the Law and Political Science Faculty of the Philipps University in 1966. Dr. jur. PhD.

After completing his legal clerkship, he specialized in building law, started a career as a judge and became the presiding judge of the 21st civil senate of the Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court responsible for building matters. In 2002 he retired.

In addition to his work as a judge, he was the author and editor of numerous specialist publications. A particular concern of his was introducing young lawyers to private building law. The Technical University of Darmstadt appointed him honorary professor. At the University of Marburg he was a lecturer in private construction law and co-initiator of the corresponding additional qualification. Vygen was chairman of the Institute for Construction Law Freiburg im Breisgau.

One of his sons is the mathematician Jens Vygen .
