Döhlbergen-Hutbergen

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Döhlbergen-Hutbergen is a district of the city of Verden ( Aller ) in Lower Saxony .

geography

The district is divided into the two eponymous localities, which are located on the western side of the Aller and directly on the Weser , just before the Aller estuary. Hutbergen is in turn divided into large and small hut mountains. The district also includes the smaller village of Rieda.

history

At the time of regular passenger shipping on the Weser, Hutbergen had a shipping pier from which the city of Verden had connections in the direction of Bremen and in the direction of Nienburg - Minden - Oberweser . Today there is still a mooring possibility on the Weser.

Hutbergen was persecuted by witches in 1539 . Alleke, wife of Rode Kopes, got into a witch trial and was burned.

On July 1, 1972, the communities Döhlbergen, Groß Hutbergen and Klein Hutbergen, from which this district was formed, were incorporated into the district town of Verden.

politics

The local mayor is Mr. Fritz Bohlmann.
