Scharnhorst is a district of the city of Verden (Aller) in Lower Saxony .
geography
Scharnhorst is located northeast of the city center in the Achim-Verdener Geest . The Halsebach flows past immediately to the northwest of the village .
history
On July 1, 1972, Scharnhorst was incorporated into the district town of Verden.
politics
The local mayor is Gerard-Otto Dyck (SPD).
Economy and Infrastructure
Scharnhorst has kept its village character to this day. In the area of the Scharnhorst district there is the Verden-Scharnhorst airfield without an asphalt runway ; the Uelzen – Langwedel railway line ( American line ) and the federal motorway 27 also cross the area. The Osterkrug settlement on Landesstrasse 171 to Visselhövede belongs to Scharnhorst .
