The Kleine Rettenstein is 2216 m above sea level. A. high mountain in the Kitzbühel Alps in the Austrian state of Tyrol . It rises around 3 kilometers east of its "bigger brother", the Großer Rettenstein .
A black-marked mountain path leads up the multi-peaked mountain over the northwest ridge. From the first pre-summit, surefootedness and a head for heights are required and the route, which is sometimes very exposed from there, leads in rock and grass chafs over several ridge towers and notches up to the cross summit.
