Klenzau is a district of the municipality of Bosau in the district of Großer Plöner See in the Ostholstein district in Schleswig-Holstein .

Klenzau has about 150 inhabitants, consists of residential houses and has three farms . Klenzau is located south of the Klenzauer See .

The place name speaks for a Wendish foundation. In 1442 Klenzau ("Klenzowe") was acquired by the Lübeck Bishop Nikolaus II. Sachau and later belonged to the Eutin Office , from 1879 to the Eutin rural community . In 1933 it became part of the municipality of Bosau (together with Quisdorf and Braak ).

The most famous Klenzauer is Wilhelm Wisser , who was born here .
