history
The monastery was founded in 1132 as a subsidiary of Bellevaux Monastery from the filiation of the Morimond Primary Abbey . In 1206 Rosières occupied the monastery of San Tommaso dei Borgognoni (Torcello) in the Venetian lagoon , from which in turn various monasteries in the Levant were founded ( Monastery of San Stefano near Istanbul , Monastery of Gergeri (Crete), Monastery of Sancta Maria Varangorum (Crete)) . The monastery was dissolved in the French Revolution .
Buildings and plant
The no longer existing church was consecrated in 1177. The other monastery complexes have also disappeared. The monastery grounds now occupy an agricultural business in which u. a. a tombstone and tiles from the monastery are still present.
