Kluiverth Miguel Aguilar Díaz , wrongly also Kluivert Aguilar (born May 5, 2003 in Lima ), is a Peruvian football player who is under contract with the first division club Alianza Lima . On July 1, 2021, the right full-back , who has been a Peruvian U23 international since January 2020, will join the English first division club Manchester City .

Kluiverth Aguilar was born in the Peruvian capital Lima and started playing football at Club de Regatas Lima . In the summer of 2018 he switched to the youth department of Sporting Cristal on loan and after his return in March 2019 he immediately joined Alianza Lima , the rival of Sporting Cristal. The right full-back signed his first professional contract at Equipo del Pueblo and was assigned to the reserve team at the request of the head coach at the age of only 15. There the young player developed directly into a regular player and gained playing experience in a division with significantly older opponents and teammates. Towards the end of the 2019 Clausura, in October 2019, Aguilar was promoted to the first team. On November 3, 2019, he made his debut in a 1-1 away win against Alianza Universidad de Huánuco in the top Peruvian league and stood the full game distance on the field. He also started in the remaining three league games of Clausura and won them with the team. With third place in the table for the year as a whole, Alianza also qualified for the playoffs for the championship title. There he was substituted in in the 1-1 draw against Sporting Cristal in the second leg, which was enough to reach the two finals. In the 1: 4 away defeat in the first leg of the final against Escuela Municipal Deportivo Binacional , he played the entire game and in the 2-0 second leg win he was substituted at half time.

After the Peruvian media had already reported interest in September of the previous year, it was announced on April 19, 2020 that the English first division club Manchester City had secured the services of Kluiverth Aguilar. However, the full- back will not join the Skyblues until July 2021 , as he has already reached the age of 18 at that time. According to the media, the transfer fee amounts to 2.5 million euros, with Alianza Lima having secured a percentage of the future sales proceeds.

National team

At the age of 15, Kluiverth Aguilar was the youngest player in the Peruvian U17 national team to take part in the 2019 U17 South American Championship in his own country and played in all nine games.

He has been working for the U23s since January 2020 .
