Knezha Island (English; Bulgarian остров Кнежа ostrow Knescha ) is the northernmost island of the Pitt Islands in the Biscoe Islands archipelago off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . In a southwest-northeast orientation it is 800 m long, 360 m wide, is not icy and is 4.53 km northwest of Trundle Island , 0.78 km north-northwest of Ribnik Island and 2.62 km southeast of Bardell Rock .
British scientists mapped it in 1971. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2016 after the town of Knescha in northern Bulgaria .
