course

The Knobelbach arises in the western part of the municipality Bärnbach , in the east of the cadastral municipality Piberegg on the southern slope of the Knobelberg . In the upper reaches it flows in a flat left curve, then in a flat right curve and shortly before its confluence relatively straight overall to the south-east. In the eastern part of the town of Köflach , in the central part of the Piber cadastral community , southeast of the village of Piber, it flows into the Gailbach, which turns right shortly afterwards. The course of the Knobelbach forms the municipality boundary between the municipalities of Bärnbach and Köflach over a stretch of around 500 meters.

On its course, the Knobelbach takes on an unnamed watercourse from both the left and right.
