Knut Werner Lange

Knut Werner Lange (born September 22, 1964 in Hamburg ) is a German legal scholar and expert in the field of corporate governance .

Life

Lange studied law at the University of Konstanz from 1986 to 1991 . After the first state examination in law , he completed his legal clerkship in Karlsruhe. From 1990 to 1994 he was a researcher at the University of Konstanz in 1994 and was at Carsten Thomas Ebenroth to Dr. jur. PhD. He then worked as a lawyer in Hamburg. From 1995 to 1997 he was a research assistant for international law at the University of Konstanz. In 1997 he completed his habilitation with Werner F. Ebke . In 1997 he became a deputy professor at Saarland University . In 1998 he was appointed professor at the Ruhr University in Bochum and in 1999 at the University of Witten / Herdecke . From 2002 to 2004 he was dean of the Faculty of Economics. Since 2007 he has been full professor for civil law, German and European commercial and economic law at the University of Bayreuth . In the 2012/13 winter semester he was Vice Dean of Faculty III - Law and Economics. Since 2013 he has also been a visiting professor in Witten.
