Koge-Donbo ( Japanese こ げ ど ん ぼ * , Koge Dombo * ; born February 27, 1976 in Tokyo , Japan ), also known as Kokoro Koharuno ( 小春 こ こ ろ , Koharuno Kokoro ), is a Japanese manga artist and illustrator .

After completing her studies, she first worked as an amateur draftsman for the dojinshi market. Koge-Donbos career began when she for anime and video game store chain Broccoli mascot Dejiko (a Catgirl ) designed. She published her first comic as a professional illustrator in 1999 with the first episode of her manga series PitaTen , which she worked on until 2003 for the manga magazine Dengeki Comic Gao! drew. The approximately 1,200 page manga in eight anthologies, for which she also published an art book and which was filmed as an anime , describes the relationship between a boy and his neighbor of about the same age who claims to be an angel.

The broccoli mascot Dejiko was followed by a manga series and several anime series under the title Di Gi Charat due to its popularity . Koge-Donbo became a sought-after character designer and carried out this job at Tiny Snow Fairy Sugar , for which a manga was also produced and an anime from 2001 to 2002.

For young girls ( Shōjo ), the illustrator created the Magical Girl Manga series Kamichama Karin from 2003 to 2006 . This roughly 1,200-page comic about an orphaned middle school student who suddenly acquired magical abilities was published in the Kōdansha publishing house's Nakayoshi magazine . Kamichama Karin became a success and, like the artist's previous works, was filmed as an anime television series. Since 2006 Koge-Donbo has been working on the sequel Kamichama Karin chu .

Her mangas have been exported to several countries; her work has been translated into German, English, Italian, French, Spanish and Portuguese.
