Hermann Kohlbrenner (born August 11, 1949 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein ) is a former German football player .

Career

Hermann Kohlbrenner completed a total of 189 games in the 2nd Bundesliga South from 1974 to 1980 for FK Pirmasens and Karlsruher SC , in which he scored ten goals. The defender had come to the stadium on Zweibrücker Strasse for the last round of the old second -rate regional football league Southwest for FKP via the stations FSV Oggersheim and SC Ludwigshafen for the 1973/74 season .

In the debut season 1974/75 of the 2nd Bundesliga he was runner-up with FK Pirmasens under coach Bernd Hoss, two points behind the champions Karlsruher SC - Kohlenbrenner had played 30 league games and scored one goal and mostly alongside defensive player Klaus Pudelko (goalkeeper ), Werner Tretter, Torben Nielsen, Gundram Gentes and Robert Jung acted - and failed in the promotion games to the Bundesliga on the second of the North relay, Bayer 05 Uerdingen . After moving to Karlsruher SC in 1977 - the new KSC coach Bernd Hoss brought striker Emanuel Günther with him from Worms - Kohlenbrenner again reached the runner-up in the second league south with KSC in the 1979/80 season . In the promotion games against Rot-Weiss Essen , the Karlsruhe team with defender Kohlbrenner prevailed in the home game with a 5-1 win and a 1-3 defeat in Essen and were promoted to the Bundesliga. At the start of the Bundesliga season 1980/81 , the Karlsruher SC hosted the German champions FC Bayern Munich . Hermann Kohlbrenner was not used in the 3-0 defeat in the local wildlife park, he made his debut in the top German division on matchday 2 in a 0-0 defeat against VfL Bochum . In total, he came to ten missions in the season.

Hermann Kohlbrenner is now a trainer at Ludwigshafener SC . He led the club from the regional league championship 2006/07 to the regional league championship 2007/08 in the association league southwest .
