Harry Tillmann

Harry Tillmann (born March 9, 1912 in Vana-Antsla , Estonia , † October 25, 1986 in Giessen ) was an Estonian veterinarian .

Life

In 1931 Harry Tillmann passed the final exam at the Hugo-Treffner-Gymnasium in Tartu and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tartu in 1937 . In September 1948 Harry Tillmann became full professor and director of the Clinic for Obstetrics and Bovine Diseases at the Veterinary Faculty of the Humboldt University in Berlin , where Tillmann was responsible in particular for surgery and inpatients.

On April 20, 1951, Tillmann moved to the claw animal clinic at the Free University of Berlin . Tillmann found his research focus largely in andrology and gynecology . In the fall of 1957 Tillmann left the faculty and moved to Giessen , where he was director of the outpatient and obstetric veterinary clinic at the Justus Liebig University Giessen until 1980 .

Harry Tillmann received several honorary doctorates and became known for his anti-baby spray.
