The Kohler Glacier is a glacier on the Walgreen Coast of Marie Byrd Land in West Antarctica . It is a branch of the Smith Glacier and flows in a northerly direction through the Kohler Range to the Maumee Piedmont Glacier , which in turn merges into the Dotson Ice Shelf .

The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of its own measurements and aerial photographs by the United States Navy from 1959 to 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1967 in connection with the mountains of the same name after the American entrepreneur Walter Kohler Sr. ( 1875-1940), former governor of Wisconsin and sponsor of the second Antarctic expedition (1933-1935) of the American polar explorer Richard Evelyn Byrd .
