The Kohler Head is a headland on the Scott coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It lies on the northeast side of the Whitmer Peninsula and marks the south side of the confluence of the Cheetham ice tongue in the Ross Sea .
The United States Geological Survey mapped them using the United States Navy's own surveys and aerial photographs from 1957 to 1962. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 1984 after John L. Kohler, construction electrician at McMurdo Station between 1965 and 1966 as well from 1966 to 1967.
