Kola Abdulai
Kola Abdulai (actually Lawal Kolawole Abdulai; born July 22, 1947 in Zaria ; † July 30, 2009 in Phoenix , United States ) was a Nigerian sprinter .
At the Olympic Games in Mexico City in 1968 he reached the quarter-finals over 100 m and was disqualified in the 4 x 100 meter relay with the Nigerian team in the semifinals.
In 1970 he was eliminated from the British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh over 100 m in the semi-finals and came in seventh place in the 4 x 100 meter relay .
At the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, he reached the quarter-finals over 100 m and the semifinals in the 4 x 100 meter relay .
In 1974 he was sixth over 100 meters at the British Commonwealth Games in Christchurch and won bronze in the Nigerian 4 x 100 meter relay.
He set his electronically stopped best time over 100 m of 10.30 s on May 28, 1976 in Lagos , his hand- stopped time of 10.0 s on May 7, 1977 in Benin City .
