Koldbrann ( Norwegian : ' gangrene ') is a Norwegian black metal band. It was founded in 2001 in Drammen .
history
The band released two demos in 2002 and soon after, in 2003, their first album, Nekrotisk Inkvisition . Originally the album was limited to 333 units, but it was released through various re-releases, some of which were also limited. After a split album with Ljå and an EP, she switched to the German Twilight distributor, who released her second album Moribund , on which Iblis and L. Wachtfels von Endstille participated. This was followed by a split with Faustcoven and the band went on tour with Negator and Sarkom.
The covers of the two albums are borrowed from works by well-known artists. The cover of Nekrotisk Inkvisiton comes from the upper part, the right wing of Hieronymus Bosch's hay cart . The cover of Moribund contains a scene from Stefan Lochner's Last Temptation .
Singer Mannevond also sang with Endstille, sings with Enthral, plays bass with Urgehal and sang along with the song Liquid Fire by Crucifixion.
