The Konplott Services, Inc. is a supplier of handmade fashion jewelry and fashion accessories based in Rosport , Luxembourg . The company employs around 1,200 people worldwide and operates over 80 of its own stores. The costume jewelry is sold in more than 900 stores worldwide. The name Konplott consists of the first syllables of the surname of the founder Miranda Konstantinidou and her business partner at the time.
history
The company was founded in 1986 in a small workshop in Trier (Germany). The entrepreneur Miranda Konstantinidou made the first pieces of jewelry there and initially supplied some dealers. The demand for their jewelry grew and the Konplott brand became more and more popular. Around ten years later, the entrepreneur opened her first own shop in Trier. But even this could not satisfy the demand, so that Miranda Konstantinidou opened the first production facility in the Philippines in 2000 . This plant employs 800 people and measures around 4,000 square meters.
In January 2006, in the 20th year since the brand was founded, the French fashion press honored Miranda Konstantinidou with the “Etoile” for the best overall collection.
For the 25th anniversary in 2011, anniversary scarf collections were launched in limited editions.
Miranda Konstantinidou
Miranda Konstantinidou, born in Thessaloniki , grew up in Germany and studied fashion design and graphics in Bologna and Trier. The Greek lives and works in Cebu (Philippines) and in Luxembourg. Konstantinidou was the first non-French woman to be awarded the French Fashion Jewelry Prize in 1991.
Every piece of jewelry from the Konplott brand is designed personally by Konstantinidou. In the company she relies heavily on solidarity and a corporate culture that is almost exclusively shaped by women.

Collections
Konplott collections are handmade and only available in limited editions. Konplott processes materials such as ceramics , leather , wood , bones , stone , glass , pebbles , crystal rhinestones and pearls . The company designs around twelve collections and a few extras every year . Each collection comprises around 150 pieces; the most expensive collections can cost a few thousand euros.
