from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Konrad was Bishop of Lebus from 1284 to 1299.

Life

On November 12, 1284, he confirmed a document from Duke Przemysł of Wielkopolska for the Templars coming quarters . In 1287 Konrad was granted rights to the possessions of the diocese in and near Kazimierz in Greater Poland. This year he made a certificate in Seelow and took part in a synod of the Polish bishops in Gniezno .

In 1290 Konrad made a certificate in Göritz for the new Cistercian convent Bernstein in Neumark . This is the first surviving evidence of the move of the Cathedral of Lebus to this location.

In 1295 Konrad took part in Przemysław's coronation as King of Poland. In 1296 he witnessed a document for the Silesian monastery Heinrichau, issued in Neisse, and in 1297 he took part in the coronation of Wenceslaus II as King of Bohemia.

The last document from 1299 has been preserved, in which he guaranteed an indulgence for donors for the Heilig-Geist-Spital in Salzwedel in the Altmark .

Konrad possibly had his own coins minted in the diocese.
