Konrad Kadzik

Konrad Kadzik (born December 23, 1924 - December 3, 2014 in Neukirchen-Vluyn ) was a German manager .

Life

Konrad Kadzik studied history and American studies at the Free University of Berlin . In 1958 he was at the Free University of Berlin with the dissertation England and Germany 1930-1932. A study of the British position on the foreign policy problems of Germany under Chancellor Heinrich Brüning to the Dr. phil. PhD.

After 1945, through his involvement in the Catholic university community in Berlin, he was regularly involved in meetings with Americans in a West Berlin meeting place. In 1950/51 he was, like Kurt Biedenkopf , one of the first German exchange students in the USA and studied American studies at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee . He was the founder of the Columbus Society in Berlin, a group of friends of German-American exchange, in which the ruling mayor of Berlin Ernst Reuter also joined.

Kadzik was a long-time member of the board and most recently chairman of the board of the Rationalization Association of the Coal Mining . Until his retirement in November 1994, he was also managing director of Notgemeinschaft Deutscher Kohlenbergbau GmbH.

Konrad Kadzik was involved in numerous social projects in the Holy Land . In 1981 he was appointed Knight of the Order of the Knights of the Holy Sepulcher by the Cardinal Grand Master Maximilien Cardinal de Fürstenberg and invested in the Augsburg Cathedral on May 23, 1982 by Franz Cardinal Hengsbach , Grand Prior of the German Lieutenancy . Most recently he was Commander of the Papal Laity Order.
