Konrad Matthäus (physician)
Konrad Matthäus the Third (born May 26, 1603 in Herford ; † September 12, 1639 ) was a German medic .
Life
The son Anton Matthäus came from a Hessian family of scholars. He studied at the University of Groningen , where he obtained the degree of medical doctor in 1629 and taught as a lecturer with his father in 1630 . In 1631 he was also promoted to professor ; he died at the age of 36. He had married Elisabeth, daughter of Jakob Michaelis, on September 12, 1638.
