Konrad Reif (* 1967 in Rosenheim ) is a German engineering scientist . He is professor of electrical engineering at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University and author and publisher of technical and scientific literature.

Life

He studied physics at the University of Regensburg and the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg , where he received his doctorate in 1997 at the Chair of General and Theoretical Electrical Engineering with a dissertation in the field of non-linear controls and was awarded the "IEE Coales Premium Award". After working at BMW AG in Munich in drive development, he moved to the University of Cooperative Education as a professor of electrical engineering in 2002, and since March 1, 2009 the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University, where he has been the course director at the Ravensburg location since 2003, Friedrichshafen campus represents vehicle electronics. His fields of work and research focus are in automotive electronics , automotive and engine technology. He was also a lecturer at the Technical University of Munich . In 2012 he was awarded the Science and Transfer Prize of the City of Ravensburg.

Konrad Reif is editor of the series of publications “Bosch Fachinformation Automobil”, “Automobilelektronik Learn” and “Motor Control Learn” as well as editor and scientific adviser of the Bosch Automotive Pocket Book. In addition to numerous publications in specialist journals and patents, he is the editor and author of other books on the subject of automotive technology ( automotive electronics - an introduction for engineers , manual for automotive electronics , automotive hybrid drives ). He is also a member of the scientific advisory board of ATZ Elektronik magazine .

His books on automotive electronics are now available in several editions and are considered standard works, in addition, he has written numerous specialist articles.
