Konrad V. von Teck (born May 5, 1361 ; † July 9, 1386 near Sempach ), Duke of Teck, was a son of Friedrich III. von Teck and belonged to the Mindelheim branch of the Dukes of Teck .

Life

Konrad's mother was Anna von Helfenstein († mid-November 1392).

According to a necrology from the St. Gallen Monastery, Duke Konrad V von Teck was born on the day before Ascension in 1361. In 1375 it was first mentioned as Konrad Thumas von Teck. In 1379 he used the same coat of arms in his round seal as his father Friedrich III.

On August 16, 1380, as a member of the Knight Society of the Lion , Konrad signed a feud to the imperial city of Frankfurt . In January 1384 he sealed a certificate for the Augsburg bishopric .

At the battle of Sempach on July 9, 1386, Duke Conrad V of Teck fell. Its coat of arms is listed in the battle chapel there among those of the fallen noble families.

His body was transferred to Ferrara and buried in the church of the Friars Minor Corpus Domini, the burial place of the House of Este.

Marriage and offspring

On June 14, 1377 he married Viridis d'Este from the Franconian noble family of the Este in Ferrara . The return journey to Germany took place on July 6, 1377.

There was a child who died prematurely.
