QRT (spoken Kurt , also Qrt , Qurt or Kurt Leiner ; actually Markus Wolfgang Konradin Leiner ; born June 2, 1965 in Scherzingen , † October 1996 in Berlin ) was a German author and philosopher.

Life

Leiner came from a family of pharmacists in Constance; he was a grandson of Bruno Leiner . He grew up in Konstanz and studied philosophy and linguistics at the Free University in Berlin from 1986 to 1992 , among others with Dietmar Kamper . In Berlin he led a subcultural life as a comic artist, journalist, drug dealer, musician in a women's band, philosopher and writer. At times he was co-owner and bartender of the Schöneberg pub "Ex & Pop". In 1994 he played the leading role in Oskar Roehler's debut film Gentleman .

QRT was a temporary member of the editorial board of MINERVA - magazine for self-defense and philosophy and since 1995 the editor in charge of the Berlin city magazine which he helped to build up [030] . In 1996 he died of hepatitis C after a heroin overdose. In a will, signed in his own blood, he decreed that his skin would be peeled off after death and that his tattooed skin would be kept. His mother enforced this request despite violations of the law and kept the skin in her house in Constance.

Since 1999, four volumes of text from his estate have been published by Merve Verlag in Berlin , edited by his friends Tom Lamberty and Frank Wulf. In his first published work, Battlefields of the Electronic Desert , he compares General Norman Schwarzkopf and Arnold Schwarzenegger as media expressions of the modern hero and various forms of fitness .
